UNICEF Philippines has teamed up with Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang INK) to launch the Hiraya Collection, a line of meaningful gifts that support children’s programs. The collection features all-occasion cards, tote bags, and other items designed by local artists, with proceeds funding education, health, nutrition, and emergency aid for Filipino children.
Hiraya, a Filipino word for deep hope and aspiration, reflects the collection’s purpose. Each design captures childhood memories and reimagines them as symbols of hope.
- Ceramic artist Iori Espiritu created “Sama-Sama, Salo-Salo,” which highlights children gathering food, representing the right to proper nutrition.
- Illustrator Kat Melo designed “Sayaw ng Santan,” inspired by playful childhood games with flowers.
- Teacher and illustrator Al Estrella shared “Pangalawang Tahanan,” which emphasizes classrooms as a second home for children.
The UNICEF Cards for Every Occasion (12 designs, P1,000) and the UNICEF Tote Bag with keychain (3 designs, P1,500) lead the collection. Other items include mini backpack charms, notebooks, and gift bags.
Every purchase directly funds UNICEF’s programs, from life-saving nutrition to education and child protection. In 2024 alone, UNICEF delivered emergency supplies to over 26,000 children affected by disasters. By buying from the Hiraya Collection, supporters provide children with the resources they need to survive and thrive.
