Tilly Birds and Ben&Ben unite for heartfelt single “Heaven”
Thailand’s alternative pop-rock trio Tilly Birds has teamed up with Filipino folk-pop sensation Ben&Ben for a new English single titled “Heaven.” The release follows Tilly Birds’ heartfelt track “Never A Waste Of Time,” marking another step in their global music journey.
The collaboration highlights the strengths of both groups. Tilly Birds bring their playful pop-rock style, while Ben&Ben contribute their signature heartfelt melodies. Together, they deliver a vibrant and memorable track.
The idea for “Heaven” was sparked when both bands performed on the same lineup at a concert in Malaysia. A backstage friendship led the Tilly Birds members to Manila, where they co-wrote the song with Ben&Ben. Recording was split between Bangkok and Manila, with files exchanged until the song was complete.
The project came to life further with a music video filmed in the Philippines. The video features Tilly Birds’ three members performing alongside Ben&Ben’s nine-piece ensemble. Both groups described the shoot as fun and filled with warmth, reflecting the genuine friendship at the core of the collaboration.
Lyrically, “Heaven” tells the story of meeting someone at the right moment and sharing unexpected joy, like finding a piece of heaven on earth. For both bands, the collaboration itself embodies that same sense of serendipity.
