Tenya Express Mitsukoshi BGC Launches Refreshed Menu and One-Day Premium Tendon October 12

Tempura Master Takahashi-san visits from Japan for a special demonstration and an exclusive Surprise Premium Tendon available while supplies last.

Tenya Express at MITSUKOSHI BGC is introducing a refreshed menu on October 12, with new dishes joining its familiar tempura and tendon favorites.

The launch will also feature a visit from Tempura Master Takahashi-san, who will conduct a special tempura demonstration and present an exclusive Surprise Premium Tendon. The special offering will be available on October 12 only, while supplies last.

Diners can find the branch at Itadaki Food Court, MITSUKOSHI BGC.

New Choices With Tempura at the Center

The refreshed menu follows a review of the dishes offered through Tenya’s Express format, which serves a curated selection of Japanese favorites for diners on the go.

“This refresh is about being more intentional with what we offer at Tenya Express. We carefully reviewed and curated the menu to make sure every dish fits the Express experience while maintaining the quality we want Tenya to be known for,” said Adele Susana “Denise” Ramos, Cavallino’s Director of Operations.

Ramos said the team wanted to introduce new choices and make the dining experience easier and more enjoyable while keeping tempura central to the brand.

The lineup includes Kaisen Tendon, Tsukiji Tendon, and Classic Tendon, alongside familiar Tenya offerings.

A One-Day Offering From Takahashi-san

Takahashi-san’s visit gives guests a closer look at the techniques behind Tenya’s signature tempura.

His Surprise Premium Tendon will be a special part of the October 12 launch. The announcement leaves its ingredients and price under wraps, making the offering a reveal for guests visiting that day.

Tenya Philippines’ team has previously trained in Japan alongside Takahashi-san, learning the techniques and standards behind the brand’s tempura. His Manila visit provides another opportunity for the local team to learn directly from him.

“I’m very happy to visit the Philippines and meet our Tenya guests,” Takahashi-san said.

He explained that Tenya developed its Autofrying system through the study of tempura frying techniques and years of operational experience. According to Takahashi-san, the system helps properly trained staff prepare tempura with consistent quality without requiring a lengthy specialist apprenticeship.
