Tenable has expanded its Tenable One platform with the launch of Tenable AI Exposure, a new solution designed to secure enterprise AI tools like ChatGPT Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot. Announced at Black Hat USA 2025, the platform moves beyond AI discovery to include risk management and policy enforcement, addressing the growing security challenges of generative AI adoption.
As companies integrate AI to improve productivity, they face hidden risks from data exposure, unsafe integrations, and potential AI manipulation. Tenable AI Exposure offers an agentless deployment for quick coverage and combines discovery, risk prioritisation, and governance in one platform.
Key capabilities include:
- Comprehensive AI Discovery: Identifies all sanctioned and unsanctioned AI usage, mapping user interactions and data flows that may create risk.
- AI Exposure Management: Detects and prioritises risks such as sensitive data leaks, misconfigurations, and unsafe tool integrations.
- Governance and Control: Applies policies to prevent risky behaviour and counter threats like prompt injections or malicious outputs.
“Tenable AI Exposure gives organisations the visibility and control they need to embrace AI safely,” said Steve Vintz, Co-CEO and CFO of Tenable. The solution is now available in private preview, with general availability expected by late 2025.
