Clark, Pampanga saw strong tourism momentum as the Taiwan Tourism Administration held the 2026 Taiwan Tourism Workshop at SMX Convention Center Clark on February 10, 2026.

The workshop gathered tourism leaders from Taiwan and the Philippines. Travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and government officials met face to face. The goal was clear. Build stronger partnerships. Increase travel flows between both markets.
The Taiwan Tourism Administration, through the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, led the initiative. The program opened with a Travel Mart. Philippine travel professionals held one on one meetings with Taiwanese suppliers. They discussed tour packages, hotel partnerships, and airline connectivity.
The highlight was the presentation of the Taiwan Tourism Partnership and Boost Project. The project outlines marketing support, collaboration programs, and strategies to grow inbound tourism from the Philippines.
Major tourism brands presented their offerings. The Department of Tourism Taoyuan promoted city experiences near Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. The Landis Taipei, Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei Ximen, Kaohsiung Ahotel, and The Grand Hotel showcased accommodation options for leisure and business travelers. Cathay Hospitality Management shared curated hospitality services.

Airlines reinforced connectivity. EVA Air and STARLUX Airlines detailed route networks and service upgrades that support Clark and Manila passengers.
Dr. Richard G. Daenos, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region 3, delivered opening remarks. Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila, welcomed participants on behalf of the Taiwan Tourism Administration. A ceremonial toast marked the formal opening.
The workshop ended with a Q and A session and cultural performances. The event strengthened Taiwan’s position as a preferred destination for Filipino travelers and reinforced Clark’s role as a growing aviation hub.
