Sun Life Spotlights Stories of Compassion and Perseverance Among Filipino  Business Owners

Sun Life Philippines, the country’s No. 1 life insurer in terms of total  premium income, is putting the spotlight on Filipino business owners whose compassion and  perseverance have empowered them to overcome obstacles and continue pursuing their goals.

Continuing its “Stories to Live Bright Now” series, Sun Life has released two new videos entitled “Alaga”  and “Pag-asa.”

In “Alaga,” viewers meet Marc Cacho, who runs Milagros, an elderly caregiving facility dedicated to  providing compassionate care for senior citizens. Recognizing that caregivers also need protection and  support, Marc ensured that members of his team were covered by Sun Life. This decision proved  invaluable when one employee faced a serious health challenge and mounting medical expenses, as it  helped provide much-needed financial assistance during a difficult time.

Meanwhile,”Pag-asa” tells the story of Lucy Sanchez, an overseas Filipino worker who dreamed of  reuniting permanently with her family in the Philippines. Determined to secure their future together, Lucy  returned home to focus on growing a family business with her husband. Through hard work and with  guidance from their Sun Life advisor, the couple was able to make the most of the resources they had  built over the years and turn their aspirations into reality.

“Business owners carry more than their own dreams. They also carry the hopes of their families,  employees, and communities,” said Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Chief Client Experience and Marketing Officer  of Sun Life Philippines. “Through ‘Stories to Live Bright Now,’ we hope to inspire Filipinos business owners  with real stories which show that, with the right support and a willingness to take meaningful steps  forward, a brighter future is within reach.”

Now showing on Sun Life’s official Facebook page, the “Stories to Live Bright Now” series forms part of  the Live Bright Now campaign, which encourages Filipinos to take small but meaningful steps towards  achieving their goals.
