Smart Communications is warning subscribers about scam texts containing fake links designed to steal personal data.
The company clarified that it only uses its official website, smart.com.ph, for all its customer messages. Shortened URLs or other variations of its domain are no longer used.
For SIM registration, Smart sends smart.com.ph/SimReg only to unregistered numbers. Registered users do not need to register again.
From January to July 2025, Smart blocked more than 1.7 billion scam texts and blacklisted over 369,000 mobile numbers linked to phishing activities. The company continues to enhance its cyber defense measures to protect customers.
Subscribers are urged not to click on unfamiliar links and to report suspicious messages. Reports may be filed through Smart’s HuliSCAM portal, the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (1326), the National Telecommunications Commission (1682), or Smart’s verified social media accounts.
