SM Tech &Amp; Play Month Brings Gadgets, Cosplay and Collectibles to East Metro Malls

From new gadgets and gaming gear to cosplay events and collector finds, SM Malls in the East Metro are bringing technology and fandom communities together throughout August.

Technology, gaming, cosplay and collecting take center stage this August as SM Supermalls brings Tech & Play Month to several malls across the East Metro.

Running from August 1 to 31, the month-long celebration gives tech enthusiasts, gamers, creators, cosplayers and collectors different ways to explore their interests while connecting with their communities. Participating locations include SM City Marikina, SM City Masinag, SM City San Mateo and SM Center Antipolo Downtown.

New tech finds at SM Cyberzone

For shoppers looking to upgrade their devices, SM Cyberzone is highlighting a range of smartphones, laptops, accessories, gaming gear and other technology essentials.

Among the featured devices are the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series and HUAWEI MatePad 12 X 2026, available at SM Cyberzone locations in Marikina, Masinag and San Mateo.

Apple devices, including MacBook models, are also available through Power Mac Center at SM Cyberzone Marikina and Masinag, as well as iStudio Plus at SM Cyberzone San Mateo.

Those looking for work and productivity essentials can also find storage devices, printers, ink and other supplies at Office Warehouse in SM Center Antipolo Downtown.

Cosplay communities get their turn

Tech & Play Month is not only about devices.

Cosplay fans can meet fellow enthusiasts and bring their favorite characters to life during scheduled cosplay activities at SM City Masinag on August 23 and SM City Marikina on August 29.

The activities give fandom communities another space to meet, create and share the interests that bring them together.

A destination for collectors

Collectors can also explore toys, character merchandise and pop-culture finds at Toy Kingdom inside SM Store Marikina, Masinag and San Mateo.

From Gundam kits to Hot Wheels, the stores offer different finds for hobbyists looking to add something new to their collections.

At SM City Marikina, the Collector’s Hub provides a more dedicated space for enthusiasts to discover collectibles and meet fellow hobbyists. According to SM Supermalls, the Collector’s Hub at the mall’s Ground Level is open until August 20.
