Rich Brian has returned with WHERE IS MY HEAD?, his first album in six years, released under 88rising. The 15-track project is his most personal and self-directed work, blending raw emotion with sonic experimentation.
The album dives into heartbreak, healing, ambition, and identity, reflecting Brian’s evolution since his 2019 release. Featuring Toro y Moi on “Body High,” Charlotte Day Wilson and DAISY WORLD on “Is It?,” redveil on “Bumpy Road,” and Ski Mask The Slump God on “Jumpy,” the project balances introspection with high-energy collaborations.
Brian takes greater creative control with much of the album self-written and self-produced. Singles like “Little Ray of Light,” “Butterfly,” and “Jumpy” gave fans a preview, while the lead track “She” featuring Kurtis Wells anchors the release with moody, reflective storytelling.
The album’s concept introduces two Brians: Maestro, who conducts music for dreams, and Movie Brian, who unknowingly lives in the world Maestro creates. This dual narrative unfolds through cinematic visuals by director Jared Hogan.
WHERE IS MY HEAD? showcases Brian at his most vulnerable and mature, redefining success on his own terms. Fans can catch him performing the album live at Head In The Clouds New York on September 20.
