The explosive new single has been selected as the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime adaptation of ‘LIAR GAME’—Shinobu Kaitani’s masterful psychological suspense manga that has captivated readers worldwide since 2005. The single release coincides with Season 1, Episode 15 airing on 13th July 2026, marking the beginning of the anime’s second batch of episodes.

A Passion Project: Leo’s Deep Connection to LIAR GAME

The collaboration between Kroi and ‘LIAR GAME’ stems from genuine artistic passion. Vocalist Leo Uchida has been a longtime fan of the original manga series, with his deep respect and admiration for the work evident throughout the song’s composition and energy.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of ‘LIAR GAME,’ so I’m truly happy to be working on the opening theme for the anime,” Leo explains. “I own the full manga series, and when I was in junior high school, I even played with the special cards for the ’17 Poker’ game that came with the drama DVD box set. It’s a series that means a lot to me.

When writing this song, I wanted to express the unique tension, dark mood, and intense psychological battles that I felt while reading ‘LIAR GAME’ through Kroi’s sound. With a beautiful melody and a dark, distorted sound, I think we were able to capture the many layers of lies and truth in the story. I believe this song brings together the world of ‘LIAR GAME’ and Kroi’s own style. I hope you’ll enjoy it together with the anime.”
