RADWIMPS celebrate 20th anniversary with new album Anew
RADWIMPS have officially revealed the details of their highly anticipated new album, ‘Anew’, set for release on October 8. This marks the band’s first studio album in four years and arrives just in time for their 20th major debut anniversary.
‘Anew’ features 12 tracks, including 10 brand-new songs and two hits that fans already know well: “Tamamono”, the theme song for NHK’s drama serial ‘Anpan’, and “Meidai”, the theme for Nippon TV’s ‘news zero’. The album reflects RADWIMPS’ growth while celebrating two decades of creating music that resonates deeply with listeners.
To highlight the milestone, RADWIMPS will also release a 20th Anniversary Special Box edition. This collector’s set includes rare performance clips from their first arena show at Yokohama Arena in 2007, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and exclusive footage from their June 29 studio performance. Fans will also get four tracks from the band’s set at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’25. The package comes with an anniversary pouch containing three limited-edition goods available only for this release. International fans can pre-order through the Official RADWIMPS Overseas Store while stocks last.
Alongside the album, the band will launch the ‘RADWIMPS 20th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR’. The tour spans 17 arena shows across nine Japanese cities, ending on November 23, their exact 20th anniversary date. This makes the tour both a celebration and a full-circle moment for the group.
