The acclaimed Japanese rock band RADWIMPS are excited to release their new song “Meidai” and accompanying music video.
The music video for “Meidai”, directed by Daiki Kamoshita, brings the song’s powerful message to life. It follows the emotional journey of a young girl navigating the harsh realities of society while searching for hope and love. Lines like “A drop in the ocean. It may be a tiny difference like an eye drop. But I seek for that drop. The meaning of my existence here,” reflect the song’s deeper meaning. The video also shows powerful scenes of the band performing, which further highlights the song’s emotion and message.
“Meidai” is a theme song for a Japanese news program NTV ‘news zero’, and it will be included on the band’s new studio album releasing on October 8th . In addition to that, a 20th Anniversary Special Box set of the album will be released, featuring footage from the special studio performance, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and rare clips from their very first arena show at Yokohama Arena in August 2007. The box set also includes an original pouch filled with exclusive anniversary merchandise and is now available for international preorder via the Official RADWIMPS Overseas Store.
