PSID-Ahlen is leading a shift in interior design by championing experiential design during the holidays. This trend focuses on emotion, memory and immersion—key to how people now connect with spaces.
At the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID)-Ahlen Institute, students are taught to create spaces that stimulate the senses. These designs are not just visual. They tell stories and invite people to feel, remember and engage.
Perlas Restaurant
This concept honors the Philippines’ maritime heritage. It mixes island textures, ocean-inspired colors and communal dining. It reflects how food and shared moments define Filipino culture.
Polynesian Pool House
Designed as a three-story resto-house, this project brings Polynesian culture to life. Each level adds depth with traditional textures and patterns. The goal is full sensory immersion—sight, sound, and mood.
Greek Mediterranean Home
This home design recreates Greece’s calm and charm. It uses coastal materials, soothing tones and authentic furniture to create a vacation-like escape at home.
PSID-Ahlen’s influence extends beyond the classroom. The trend of immersive, emotionally charged interiors is gaining traction in homes, malls and cultural spaces.
The highlight of the year is the Designs of Christmas Exhibit (D.O.C.E.), opening September 27, 2025 at GH Tower in Greenhills. The showcase will feature four galleries exploring Christmas through time, character, color and culture.
“The exhibit focuses on how holiday decorating drives trends in interior design,” said Pojie Pambid, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “The class of 2025 will present inspiring styles that redefine how we experience the holidays.”
