Pop Mart Chucky Blind Box brings horror icon to collectors
Pop Mart, known for its hit collectible figure Labubu, has launched a new blind box series featuring Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise. The release dropped on September 12, aligning perfectly with Halloween season.
The blind box collection highlights different versions of Chucky from across Don Mancini’s long-running franchise. Packaged in toy box-style designs, the collection gives fans miniature versions of the horror icon and even includes Glen and Tiffany. While Chucky remains a terrifying figure in film, Pop Mart softens his look into collectible form, making him both spooky and cute.
Emily Brough, Pop Mart’s head of IP licensing in the Americas, shared how Halloween made the collaboration an easy fit. She explained that the brand wanted to lean into the U.S. tradition of Halloween, creating collectibles that fans can connect with during the season.
Pop Mart has built its name around global collaborations and artist-driven characters like Skullpanda, Peach Riot, and Kasing Lung’s Labubu. At the recent San Diego Comic-Con, the company showcased its expanding portfolio, including Star Wars collectibles and Monsters series releases.
Beyond the Chucky collection, Pop Mart is also expanding its presence with pop-up shops and immersive experiences. The company has rolled out Popland in Beijing and has plans to bring similar attractions to the U.S. soon.
Fans of horror and pop culture can now purchase the Chucky blind boxes online and at Pop Mart stores. With multiple character variants and the blind box excitement, collectors are already hoping for a second series featuring Phantom Chucky, the Colonel, and more Glen and Tiffany figures.
