FOODPhilippines highlights Halal and organic-certified food at Anuga 2025
The Philippines brings its authentic and healthy flavors to Anuga 2025 in Cologne, Germany, with 17 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) showcasing premium Halal and organic-certified food. Organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the FOODPhilippines delegation is putting Filipino food on the global stage until October 8, 2025.
Under the FOODPhilippines banner, the showcase highlights top exports to the European Union such as coconut, mango, pineapple, and tuna, along with fruit preserves, seafood, and snacks. These products benefit from tariff exemptions under the EU’s trade incentives.
“Our exhibitors are not just bringing authentic Filipino flavors, they are also meeting global standards in Halal, organic, and food safety,” said CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo.
Featured items include milkfish, shrimp paste, dried fish, calamansi and coconut concentrates, and snacks such as banana chips, pili nuts, and chichacorn. These products reflect the country’s growing competitiveness in ethical and sustainable food production.
Companies such as GSL Premium Food Export Corp., Lionheart Farms, Philbest Canning Corporation, Seatrade Canning Corporation, and See’s International Food Manufacturing Corporation hold major international certifications like the British Retail Consortium (BRC).
The Philippines builds on its success from Anuga 2023, which generated over US$22.9 million in sales, with seafood and snacks leading the demand. In 2024, Philippine agricultural exports to the EU reached US$1.53 billion, representing 19 percent of the country’s total exports to the region.
The Philippine Pavilion is located at Hall 1.2, Fine Food Hall, Booth M01-N011 at Koelnmesse, Cologne.
The participating brands include Fitrite, McCormick Philippines, Mega Prime Foods, Profood International, and other major players in the local food sector.
