Cebu–Guam nonstop flights expand PAL network
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is strengthening its regional footprint with the launch of thrice-weekly nonstop Cebu–Guam flights starting December 16, 2025. This will be the only direct air link between Cebu and Guam, complementing PAL’s daily Manila–Guam service.

The new route reinforces Cebu’s position as an international hub for business and leisure travelers. It also provides Guam’s large Filipino community with direct access to the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Flights from Cebu will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 9:40 PM, arriving in Guam at 3:25 AM local time. Return flights will leave Guam every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 5:15 AM, arriving in Cebu at 6:50 AM. PAL will operate the route with its Airbus A321ceo aircraft.
Richard Nuttall, PAL President, said the move highlights the flag carrier’s role in expanding connectivity. “This service enhances Cebu’s role as a strategic gateway to international markets while serving Guam’s Filipino community and boosting economic flows,” he noted.
Athanasios Titonis, CEO of Aboitiz Infracapital Cebu Airport Corporation, added that the route revives direct flights to the U.S. from Cebu. “It makes island-to-island travel faster and creates a stronger gateway for visitors from the U.S. Pacific territories and Asia,” he said.
The Cebu–Guam flights form part of PAL’s broader international expansion beyond Manila. From Cebu, PAL already flies to Ho Chi Minh, Incheon, Narita, and Osaka, along with key domestic destinations like Siargao, Davao, and Puerto Princesa.
Guam, home to a Filipino community that makes up nearly 30% of its 179,000 residents, plays a crucial role in PAL’s U.S. network, which includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, and Honolulu.
PAL’s history with Guam goes back to July 31, 1946, when it first landed on the island during its pioneering trans-Pacific service. Nearly 80 years later, the Cebu–Guam route reaffirms the airline’s enduring mission of connecting Filipinos worldwide.
