The film follows Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd), childhood best friends who share a lifelong dream of remaking their favorite movie, the 1997 cult hit “Anaconda.” Now facing midlife crises, they embark on a wild trip to the Amazon to bring their vision to life. But what starts as a passion project quickly spirals into chaos when they encounter an actual giant anaconda.

Rudd and Black’s comedic chemistry shines in the trailer, blending slapstick humor with absurd danger. Their dream remake becomes a nightmare survival mission, with the duo scrambling between filmmaking and staying alive.

The ensemble cast also includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. The film is directed by Tom Gormican, co-written with Kevin Etten, and produced by Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Kevin Etten, and Gormican.

“Anaconda” combines Hollywood parody with outrageous adventure, making it a fresh twist on the snake-thriller genre. Fans can expect big laughs, bigger snakes, and total mayhem when the film slithers into Philippine theaters in January 2026.
