The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) honored the winners of the 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, at Television City in Los Angeles.
Meryl Streep won Outstanding Children’s Personality for Storyline Online. Christian Slater earned Outstanding Lead Performer for The Spiderwick Chronicles. Jacob Tremblay took home Outstanding Younger Voice Performer for Orion and the Dark.
Other major winners included Blue’s Clues & You! (Outstanding Preschool Series), Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock (Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series), and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Outstanding Young Teen Series).
Leslie Carrara-Rudolph won her first Emmy for Outstanding Puppetry Performer after seven nominations. Phoenix Laroche made history as one of the youngest Emmy winners, claiming Outstanding Younger Performer for The Velveteen Rabbit.
Hosted by Eric Bauza, the event featured presenters such as Duff Goldman, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Paul Walter Hauser, Walker Scobell, and Cree Summer. Fran Brill received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Dave Goelz.
