The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has activated Oplan Biyaheng Ayos–Undas 2026, strengthening terminal inspections and road monitoring ahead of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said the agency will continue safety checks at major transport terminals and along key roads as Filipinos travel for the annual observance.

“The LTO will continue conducting inspections, monitoring and other safety measures at major terminals and along roads to ensure safe, orderly and reliable travel for the public this Undas,” Lacanilao said.

Terminal inspections and driver drug tests

Lacanilao made the statement on Saturday following passenger bus inspections in Cubao, Quezon City, and at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

According to the LTO, 27 bus terminals passed inspections conducted in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard.

The agency also plans to conduct drug tests among drivers as part of its holiday safety measures.

Personnel assigned to major travel corridors

LTO personnel will be deployed at strategic locations, including major transport corridors and expressway entry and exit points.

Among the routes covered are the Manila–Cavite Expressway, South Luzon Expressway, Skyway, STAR Tollway, North Luzon Expressway, Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway, Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway, and Cavite–Laguna Expressway.

The deployment is divided into two phases: October 23–27 and October 28–November 4, 2026. This places road safety teams along key routes before the observance and through the days following it.

LTO calls for responsible driving

Alongside the inspections and personnel deployment, Lacanilao urged motorists to follow traffic laws and practice responsible driving throughout their journeys.

“We want to ensure that every motorist has a safe and orderly journey this Undas, but we also encourage the public to follow traffic laws and practice responsible driving at all times,” he said.

The operation supports travel for All Saints’ Day on November 1 and All Souls’ Day on November 2, with the second deployment phase continuing until November 4.
