Liam Hemsworth leads The Witcher season 4
The wait is over. Netflix has dropped the first full trailer for The Witcher season 4, giving fans a closer look at Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt of Rivia. The penultimate season will premiere on October 30.
Hemsworth takes over from Henry Cavill, who played Geralt from the show’s debut in 2019 until season 3 in 2023. In the trailer, Hemsworth showcases his version of Geralt’s trademark growl, signaling a new era for the fantasy series.
Season 4 picks up after the Continent-shaking events of season 3. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are now separated by war and hunted by enemies. As they pursue their diverging goals, each crosses paths with unexpected allies who may help them reunite. Netflix has confirmed the saga will conclude with season 5.
Since its launch, The Witcher has grown beyond the main series. Fans have seen spinoffs such as an animated film and a live-action prequel starring Michelle Yeoh. On the gaming side, developer CD Projekt Red is working on a fourth Witcher game, this time with Ciri as the lead.
With Hemsworth’s debut, season 4 sets the stage for a final chapter that could redefine the show’s legacy.
