From First Coffee to Midnight Cravings: How foodpanda and Eastwest Are Making Everyday Food Spending More Rewarding

A partnership that combines everyday convenience with easier, more rewarding banking

Food delivery has become part of the daily routine for many Filipinos. On foodpanda Philippines, orders peak at around 11 a.m. for lunch and 6 p.m. for dinner, while Saturday is the busiest day. From workday meals to weekend orders and late-night cravings, customers now turn to delivery throughout the day.

The opportunity also extends beyond the usual lunch and dinner rush. Between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., burgers account for 25.3% of foodpanda’s midnight deliveries, showing how delivery continues to meet customer needs even after regular meal hours.

From quick meals to late-night cravings, customers can earn up to 10% cashback on foodpanda purchases with the EastWest foodpanda Visa credit card.

Responding to this shift, foodpanda and EastWest have partnered for the foodpanda Visa credit card, a product designed around how people order, shop, and pay today. The card brings together foodpanda’s everyday convenience with EastWest’s digital banking channels, giving customers a simpler way to apply for credit and earn cashback from transactions they already make regularly. The partnership also comes as digital payments gain ground on the platform. Online payments already account for 49% of foodpanda orders based on the reported data.

“Consumers today expect the digital services they use every day to be simple, convenient, and rewarding, whether they’re ordering food, shopping online, or managing their finances,” said Alastair De Lara, Head of Unsecured Lending. “Our partnership with foodpanda responds to a clear shift in how Filipinos manage their daily needs and spending. By offering useful rewards on everyday spending and a fully digital application process through ESTA and EasyWay, we can give customers more value from the purchases already part of their routine.”

Turning everyday spending into everyday rewards

At the heart of the partnership is a simple idea: with customers paying closer attention to value, cashback and instant savings offer a clear benefit on purchases they already make regularly.

Cardholders can earn up to 10% cashback on foodpanda purchases, making meals, grocery deliveries, and everyday essentials even more rewarding. Beyond foodpanda, users can also earn 1% cashback on international purchases and 0.3% cashback on everyday spending categories such as groceries, fuel, transportation, and shopping.

Cashback made simple with PandaPay

Instead of tracking points or waiting for redemption periods, cashback is automatically credited to the PandaPay wallet every week.

Customers can view and use their cashback on future foodpanda transactions. This is especially relevant for customers who order several times a month. Since the cashback goes straight to PandaPay every week, they can use it on a future order without having to convert points or wait for a redemption period.

More perks, less hassle

Beyond cashback, cardholders receive a complimentary six-month PandaPro subscription, which gives them access to exclusive deals, discounts, and delivery perks across the platform. The annual membership fee is also waived for the first year. Customers can apply digitally through EastWest’s ESTA chatbot or the EasyWay app for a faster and more convenient application process.

Built for the way Filipinos live today

As digital-first lifestyles continue to shape how Filipinos eat, shop, and manage their finances, consumers are looking for everyday solutions that are simple, connected, and rewarding. The foodpanda and EastWest partnership responds to this need by bringing together food delivery, digital payments, rewards, and easier banking in one seamless experience.

Through this partnership, customers can get more value from the purchases they already make every day.
