LG ELECTRONICS PHILIPPINES OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES THE PUSH LAUNDRY LIVELIHOOD PROJECT FOW PWDs

The Push Laundry, a social enterprise designed to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), has officially launched through a collaboration among House with No Steps Foundation (HWNSF), ELS, BigZe Corporation, and LG Electronics Philippines.

The initiative builds on earlier efforts to create inclusive employment pathways and now formally establishes Push Laundry as an operating livelihood project that directly supports PWD employment and programs.

The project aims to demonstrate how inclusive business models can generate both commercial viability and social impact, with laundry earnings helping sustain training, employment, and development programs for PWD beneficiaries.

“LG Electronics Philippines is proud to support initiatives that create meaningful livelihood opportunities for the PWD community,” said Nakhyun Seung, managing director of LG Electronics Philippines. “Through our LG Commercial Laundry solutions, we are able to contribute to a business model that promotes inclusivity while ensuring reliable and efficient daily operations.”

A Collaboration for Inclusive Livelihood

The Push Laundry brings together:

  • House with No Steps Foundation (HWNSF), advocating for and supporting persons with disabilities
  • ELS, providing business structure and partnership direction
  • BigZe Corporation, managing daily shop operations and service delivery
  • LG Electronics Philippines, supplying commercial laundry solutions to support operational efficiency

The project successfully renovated one of the HWNSF buildings in Cubao, Quezon City, transforming it into a facility for a commercial laundry livelihood shop. The initiative is designed to establish a sustainable program that will be managed by HWNSF and with the support of BigZe Corporation as experts in laundry operations, giving the PWDs an active role in the workforce and creating meaningful livelihood opportunities within their own community.

Supporting Employment and Sustainability

Push Laundry’s profit and proceeds will go to the funding for the foundation, and business operations are structured so that earnings directly support:

  • Employment opportunities for PWDs
  • Skills development and livelihood programs
  • Ongoing operational sustainability of the initiative

By combining commercial laundry services with a social mission, the project aims to create a replicable model that other interested dealers and subdealers may adopt using Push Laundry as a blueprint.

Continuing a Shared Vision

The launch marks an important milestone in the continued collaboration among the partner organizations, reinforcing their commitment to building accessible and inclusive opportunities within local communities.

With LG Commercial Laundry solutions integrated into the shop’s operations, providing versatility and flexibility for easy and seamless operations, even for PWDs, the enterprise is positioned to deliver reliable service while supporting its social mission.
