Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Over 20,000 fans filled Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s iconic main entrance to welcome Lee Jong-suk and Mun Ka-young for the Law and The City Star Tour, the drama’s only Southeast Asian stop.
Organized by CJ ENM Hong Kong and tvN, with support from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Astro, Pavilion KL, and DADI Cinema, the event marked the on-screen couple’s first appearance in Malaysia for a drama promotion.

The actors greeted fans along the red carpet, stopping for photos and joining a “chemistry game” with lucky attendees. An exclusive finale screening followed, with 260 fans and guests in attendance. Demand was high, with over 1,000 entries for Astro’s giveaway and more than 5,000 engagements on tvN Asia’s social media within 24 hours.
Since premiering, Law and The City has topped Astro’s international drama rankings and entered the Top 10 overall TV programs on the platform. The tour also spurred a spike in On Demand viewing via Astro GO.
At the press conference, Lee Jong-suk thanked fans for their warmth and shared that the event left him with unforgettable memories. Mun Ka-young expressed being overwhelmed by the warm welcome and admitted to feeling nervous before the red carpet.
Astro’s Chief Content Officer Agnes Rozario highlighted the brand’s commitment to creating exclusive fan experiences. CJ ENM executives Mickey Ong and Sebastian Kim emphasized the global appeal of Korean content and their plans to further engage audiences worldwide.
Law and The City tells the story of lawyers navigating cases and office life in Seocho-dong, with flashbacks to Hong Kong where the leads first met. Filming locations included Victoria Harbour and Central, adding depth to the romance.
The Kuala Lumpur event now stands as a milestone in regional K-Drama fan culture.
