The BRIT Award-winning group offers another preview of its upcoming fifth studio album with a warm, optimistic track inspired by Brazilian music.

Jungle has released its latest single, “The Wave,” giving fans another taste of the group’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Sunshine,” arriving on August 14.

The new release follows the success of lead single “Carry On,” which debuted as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record and has already gained more than 14 million streams.

Made up of J Lloyd, Tom McFarland, and Lydia Kitto, Jungle drew inspiration for Jungle The Wave from the Brazilian music scene of the 1960s and 1970s.

The result is a bright and polished track that carries the warmth, rhythm, and musicality of that era while staying true to the band’s sleek modern sound.

Lyrically, Jungle The Wave explores the strength needed to keep going in a relationship during difficult moments.

Rather than leaning into heartbreak, the song offers optimism and emotional resilience, making it another uplifting entry in Jungle’s growing catalog.

The upcoming album “Sunshine” follows the global success of Jungle’s 2023 album “Volcano,” which featured the viral hit “Back On 74.”

That track has surpassed 557 million streams and became a major force across TikTok and global charts.

The album’s official tracklist includes “Come Back to Me,” “Sunshine,” “Where Are You Now?,” “Move Like You Do,” “Romeo II” featuring Bas, “Carry On,” “The Wave,” “Someday, Somewhere,” “Natural,” “Reflection,” and “Heavy on My Soul.”

Since forming in London in 2013, Jungle has built a global reputation for blending modern disco, soul, hip-hop, and high-impact visual storytelling.

Their upcoming world tour begins this September, with arena dates across North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.

The takeaway: The Wave shows Jungle continuing to expand its sound while keeping the groove, optimism, and emotional pull that made the group a global force.
