Insular Life (InLife), the Philippines’ first and largest life insurer, challenges an old Filipino mindset through its new campaign, “Bahala Not.”
The campaign aims to redefine how young Filipinos view freedom and responsibility. It targets Gen Zs who value authenticity, self-expression, and balance. Bahala Not encourages them to take risks where life is fun while staying financially secured where it matters.

“Gen Zs aren’t reckless,” said InLife Chief Marketing Officer Gae L. Martinez. “They’re redefining responsibility on their own terms. Bahala Not empowers them to say yes to adventure and self-love through financial wellness.”
The campaign introduces InLife Gen Free, a community of young Filipinos who embrace fun while staying financially smart. Members are “Free to Be,” “Free from Worries,” and “Free Together.” It encourages open discussions about health, finances, and the importance of being ready for life’s uncertainties.
At the center of the campaign is the Bahala Not Video, led by singer and fashionista Miel Pangilinan, known for her advocacy for gender identity and expression. Miel joins other Gen Zs — AJ the gamer, Vee the yogini, Shaun the stage actor, and Charli the student entrepreneur — in showing that being carefree doesn’t mean being careless.
Their message is simple: “In life, there’s no respawn button. Self-care and health care are vital. Hustle with a plan.”
InLife supports this vision with products such as Wealth Assure Plus, iProtect, and Prime Care. These plans provide flexibility, affordable life coverage, and critical illness protection — essentials for anyone who wants both freedom and security.
InLife will expand the Bahala Not movement through educational videos and university events promoting financial literacy.
