Filing complaints made easier with eGovPH app
Filipinos now have a faster way to raise concerns on slow or inefficient government services through the eGovPH app. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), in partnership with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), launched the electronic Complaints Management System (eCMS) to make filing complaints more accessible and efficient.
Here’s how you can file a complaint:
- Download the eGovPH app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei App Gallery.
- Open the app and click the ARTA-ECMS icon.
- Create an account.
- Choose “File a Complaint” or talk to TALA, the built-in AI assistant.
Once you submit, you will receive a unique tracking number that lets you monitor the status of your complaint within the app.
DICT explained that the system eliminates the need to line up in government offices. Everything can be done online, saving time and ensuring faster action.
ARTA Director General Ernesto Perez stressed that the eCMS improves accountability. Agencies can no longer delay responses or neglect complaints.
A key feature of the system is TALA (Transparency, Accountability, and Law in Action). TALA is available 24/7 in English, Filipino, and 13 other dialects. It can:
- Accept both text and voice-based complaints
- Transcribe and analyze conversations
- Generate complaint entries automatically
The system also offers auto-generated document templates, secure routing of complaints, and encryption through the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI).
With ARTA’s reported 99.3% resolution rate for complaints, the eCMS aims to strengthen citizen trust in government service delivery.
