HONOR Magic V6 Pulls One-Ton Aircraft in Foldable Durability Demo

HONOR Philippines has placed its upcoming HONOR Magic V6 at the center of a series of unconventional durability demonstrations, including pulling an aircraft weighing approximately one ton.

Conducted under controlled conditions, the aircraft-pull activation was designed to showcase the structural strength of HONOR’s next-generation foldable smartphone.

The demonstration did not involve placing the aircraft’s full weight directly on top of the device. Instead, the Magic V6 was subjected to force as part of an aircraft-pulling setup, according to the company’s official release.

HONOR did not disclose the complete testing methodology, pulling distance, equipment configuration or amount of force applied to the device. The activation should therefore be understood as a brand-led demonstration rather than an independent laboratory durability test.

Taking a foldable phone beyond everyday conditions

Foldable smartphones must balance two competing priorities: a thin, portable design and a structure strong enough to withstand regular opening, closing and daily handling.

HONOR said the aircraft-pull demonstration was intended to show how the Magic V6’s engineering responds to forces beyond typical everyday use.
