Inside the New Hong Kong Suite at Island Shangri La

A closer look at the Hong Kong Suite Island Shangri La experience

Island Shangri La introduces the Hong Kong Suite as part of its multi year renovation. The suite sits on the 50th floor and gives guests a clear view of Central and Victoria Harbour. You see the city’s pace from above and you feel its calm inside the suite. The hotel shaped this space to reflect Hong Kong’s mix of modern style and Asian heritage.

The living area sets the tone. You enter a room framed by painted fabric walls and antiques sourced from respected auction houses. A full wall mural shows a historical view of the harbour. It anchors the room and ties guests to the city’s fishing village past. The layout follows feng shui principles to welcome balance and good fortune. A circular dining table sits by the windows so you enjoy wide city views during meals. A maxi pantry and a dedicated butler support small private gatherings.

The bedroom presents mountain themes linked to Hong Kong’s greenery. You rest on a super king size bed facing a mural inspired by Victoria Peak and the Botanical Gardens. A day bed by the window creates a quiet corner for rest. The dressing room uses cloud and pine motifs to represent prosperity and long life.

The bathroom brings a spa feel. White marble, twin rain showers, a heated bench, and Acqua di Parma amenities shape a calm routine. The round marble bathtub is the focal point. It sits under a golden ceiling and features hand cut mosaic details that reference magnolias. A Bluetooth speaker and television add comfort to long baths.

Guests receive full butler service, access to the Horizon Club Lounge, premium AV features, and a complete pantry with wine fridge, tea and coffee machines, and filtered water. The suite measures 130 square meters and starts at HKD 60,000 per night.

Island Shangri La continues to refresh its spaces while keeping a strong sense of place. The Hong Kong Suite reflects this vision through design, service, and cultural detail.
