Warner Bros. Discovery and Viu will launch the first streaming bundle of its kind in Southeast Asia in Q4 2025. The HBO Max and Viu bundle will be available in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
The bundle combines premium Hollywood titles from HBO Max with top Asian content from Viu. Subscribers will get access to franchises like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and the DC Universe, alongside Korean hits such as Running Man and 2 Days 1 Night, and Viu Originals like My Youth and Taxi Driver 3.
HBO Max will offer upcoming blockbusters including A Minecraft Movie and Sinners, as well as HBO Originals like The Last of Us and The White Lotus. Viu will deliver popular Korean and Chinese dramas including The Immortal Ascension and Love Has Fireworks, plus local Southeast Asian productions.
James Gibbons, President of Asia Pacific at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the partnership will deliver strong entertainment value, more choices and better retention for subscribers. Janice Lee, CEO of Viu, added that the bundle will make it easier for viewers to enjoy a wider range of content in one subscription.
The subscription will be available directly through the HBO Max and Viu websites. Each service will maintain separate apps and features, with compatibility varying by platform. More details will be announced closer to launch.
