Hayley Williams has returned with her new solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. The record is out now on all platforms and features 18 tracks, including the brand new single “Parachute,” which was named BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record on August 28.
Earlier this month, Williams released 17 singles without an order, encouraging fans to create their own playlists. The final album was shaped by fan tracklists and includes “Parachute” as its only new addition.
Fans can pre-order physical copies ahead of the November 7 release. Special vinyl editions are available in several colors, including Highlighter Yellow, Marble Yellow, and Poolwater Wave. Limited CD-Rs with Williams’ handwriting are also up for grabs, with only 1,500 copies available.
The album was produced by Daniel James, with Williams writing and playing across the project. Collaborators include Brian Robert Jones, Joey Howard, and Jim-E Stack, who worked on “True Believer,” her first solo Billboard Alternative Sales #1. The release also marks her first under Post Atlantic, her new self-owned label, following Paramore’s departure from Atlantic Records in 2023.
In the past weeks, she released videos for the title track and “Glum.” The album explores multiple styles, from the Americana feel of “Whim” to the sharp production of “Ice In My OJ.” On “Glum,” she experiments with vocal presets, while “Mirtazapine” pays homage to late ’90s alt-rock.
“Parachute” stands out as the album’s emotional centerpiece, capturing the raw intensity that has defined Williams’ career. It reinforces her ability to balance lyrical honesty with fearless experimentation, making this third solo era another milestone in her journey beyond Paramore.
