Hanabishi Extends Comfort Beyond Homes with 3,000-Fan Donation to Meycauayan Schools and Institutions

Hanabishi Appliances furthers its commitment to giving back to the community by donating 3,000 electric fans to the city of Meycauayan in Bulacan. The donation included stand fans, and desk fans that will be used mostly in schools across the city.

“Supporting education is one of the most impactful ways we can contribute to the future of our country. With this initiative, we hope to create a more comfortable and conducive environment for learning,” said Cherish Ong-Chua, VP for Finance and Marketing of Hanabishi Philippines.

Bayanihan in Action

The ceremonial turnover took place last August 14, 2025 at the Meycauayan City Hall, where the donated fans were formally received by Meycauayan Mayor Henry Villarica. The event was also attended by Dr. Merlina P. Cruz of the Department of Education (DepEd), Dr. Reneliza Sta. Ana of the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan (PCCM), Ms. Vilma Rupac from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Ms. Ma. Cristina V. Pineda of the General Services Office.

“At Hanabishi, we recognize that true community development is rooted in collaboration. By working closely with local government units, and other key departments and organizations such as the DepEd, PCCM, and DSWD, we hope to promote the spirit of bayanihan to uplift communities. This collaborative effort is also a testament to how the public and private sectors can work together to provide solutions for the greater good,” said Ong-Chua.

The appliances will be distributed by the City Government of Meycauayan to schools and other institutions across the city to ensure that the fans will reach the communities that need them the most.

Supporting and Uplifting Communities

This is not the first time that Hanabishi has come up with community development initiatives. Throughout the years, it has consistently implemented a wide range of corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at providing comfort and practical solutions in places where they can make the biggest difference.

Most recently, Hanabishi donated livelihood starter kits to women who manage small karinderyas (small eateries) as part of its newly launched Kapartner sa Kabuhayan CSR program. In previous years, it has partnered with the Kapuso Foundation and Eat Bulaga in helping various communities across the country.

Through its latest donation, Hanabishi continues to build on its legacy of being not just a trusted appliance brand in Filipino homes but as a company that actively participates in creating a better life for all.

“These efforts are our way of giving back to the community that has supported us through the years,” Ong-Chua said.
