GCash promotes giving through GBayanihan
GCash is changing the way Filipinos support causes by launching Game to Give, a livestream quiz show for a cause. The event went live on September 19 from 5 PM to 6 PM on @gcashofficial TikTok. It put a spotlight on GBayanihan, the in-app donation platform that makes giving easier and safer for users.
The show featured content creators Lottie B, Show Suzuki, Ashley Rivera, and Hershey Neri. They battled in a trivia showdown filled with Pinoy pop culture questions. Each played for a chosen NGO, with every peso raised going to their organization. The winning creator also received P500,000 for their cause.
Game to Give encouraged viewers to donate any amount during the program. The initiative highlighted GBayanihan’s role as an express lane to giving back. The feature is built into the GCash app, allowing direct support for vetted organizations across education, health, shelter, and community development.
Some partner groups include Hero Foundation, InLife Foundation, PHINMA Foundation, UNICEF, Save the Children Philippines, Cribs Foundation, Virlanie Foundation, ABS-CBN Foundation, and World Vision. Donations are secure, immediate, and verified by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification.
GBayanihan also activates during emergencies, letting donors send aid right when it’s needed most. With just a few taps, users can choose an organization, set an amount, and confirm the transaction. The process is quick and can be repeated anytime.
GCash aims to make a difference more accessible. Every peso counts, and GBayanihan gives everyone a chance to take part. By turning a simple donation into a fun quiz show, GCash showed how technology can bring people together for causes that matter.
