13 finalists to compete live for USD 1,500 prizes at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025
Thirteen indie game developers from across the globe have been named finalists in the Pitch Competition at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025. The competition, sponsored by BACKND and Epic Games Store, drew over 100 submissions from developers worldwide, with finalists representing Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the USA, and more.
The finalists will present their games live on October 17, competing in three categories: Best Visual, Best Game Design, and Most Anticipated Game. Winners will each receive a cash prize of USD 1,500 and gain international exposure to publishers, investors, and the wider gaming community.
This year’s jury includes leading figures from Epic Games, Playstack, Shochiku Co., Ltd., Kwalee, and PQube. For the “Most Anticipated Game” award, live audience votes will also contribute to the final decision.
The finalists showcase a wide range of creativity, from quirky co-op titles and narrative-driven adventures to fast-paced action games and ambitious RPGs. The Pitch Competition continues to be one of the most anticipated highlights of the show, offering indie developers the chance to secure real opportunities for funding, publishing, and global recognition.
Tickets are now available for both B2B and B2C attendees, with the business area and conference running from October 16–17, and the entertainment area open from October 17–19.
