Gabby and the Gabby Cats are finally hitting the big screen with Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, opening in Philippine cinemas on September 24.
Laila Lockhart Kraner returns as Gabby, joined by Grammy-winning legend Gloria Estefan as Grandma Gigi. Their fun road trip to Cat Francisco takes a twist when Gabby’s beloved dollhouse is stolen by quirky cat lady Vera, voiced by Kristen Wiig. The adventure pushes Gabby and the Gabby Cats into the real world, where teamwork and creativity become the key to saving the dollhouse.
With 11 seasons behind it, DreamWorks Animation is ready to expand the franchise. “Gabby’s Dollhouse is filled with endless creativity and imagination,” says DreamWorks Animation President Maggie Cohn. “The move to the big screen was the natural next step for the fans.”
Director Ryan Crego shares that the movie balances sparkle and charm with a bigger story fit for the big screen. “We wanted this to be a child’s first cinematic adventure,” he says. “It has joy, music, silliness, and a heartfelt journey for kids, parents, and grandparents alike.”
This is also DreamWorks Animation’s first hybrid feature. The film blends interactive elements with animation, aiming to create a unique in-theater experience where audiences can sing, dance, and play along.
Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie premieres nationwide on September 24. Families can expect a fun-filled journey that sparks creativity for audiences of all ages.
