Foundever® achieves industry-first TESDA certification for CX training program

Foundever® has become the first company in the Philippines to receive a Certificate of Program Registration (CTPR) from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for its Customer Experience (CX) and Communications Training Level II, marking a significant milestone in industry-led workforce development. This certification designates Foundever as a key player in the Philippines’ new, nationwide Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) program.

The CX and Communications Training Level II prepares individuals for entry-level roles in the Information and Communication Technology and service sectors, focusing on customer interaction, complaint handling, and efficient service delivery across voice and non‑voice channels.

Under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) framework, the program aligns TESDA-accredited curriculum development, trainer certification, site compliance, and trainee monitoring with the hiring and operations of Foundever. This integrated approach enables faster transition from training to employment while supporting the IT-BPM industry’s goal of building a sustainable, hire-ready talent pipeline.

Developed with guidance from the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the certification reinforces the role of Foundever as a strategic partner and primary expert in addressing the CX industry’s persistent skills gap. In 2026, the company will train more than 2,900 individuals through the program.

Training will be delivered through the Language Academy at Foundever, launched in 2022 as a pioneering CX skills development initiative structured across seven targeted programs, from near-hire and assessment readiness to language upskilling, CX immersion, local government-supported initiatives, and leadership pathfinder programs. Since its launch, the academy has trained 34,793 learners, achieved a 94% completion rate, and enabled 34% of graduates to progress into CX roles.

This commitment to accessible and inclusive education has earned national recognition, including a Merit Award for Corporate Social Responsibility at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards hosted by the International Association of Business Communicators and a bronze award at the HR Excellence Awards 2023 for Excellence in In-House Talent Pipeline Strategy.

“Being the first recognized business enterprise to achieve CTPR certification under the EBET Framework is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Willy Lim, Vice President for HR, Marketing and Talent Acquisition for the Philippines, China, and Malaysia. “Through our partnership with TESDA and IBPAP, we are strengthening the CX workforce and ensuring Filipino talent remains globally competitive.”

Foundever and its site at Technopoint, Pasig City is the first certified location, with additional sites progressing through accreditation nationwide, reinforcing its commitment as a #ForceForGood. It also reinforces a strategic partnership with the local government to build a stronger, more skilled Filipino workforce.
