Filipinos are increasingly embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance creativity and productivity, as revealed by a recent Samsung Electronics study. Surveying over 2,600 consumers across Southeast Asia, the study found that Filipinos use AI mainly for writing, language translation, and problem-solving, making them more inclined to adopt AI-driven mobile devices and home appliances.
According to the study, 44% of Filipino users rely on AI for writing, compared to 32% in other SEA countries. AI-assisted language translation (42%) and problem-solving (39%) also rank high among Filipinos, underscoring the technology’s value in communication and everyday tasks. Creative applications, including photo editing (48%), entertainment (42%), and idea generation (42%), highlight a growing trend of AI integration into lifestyle and work.
To meet this demand, Samsung has integrated advanced AI capabilities into its latest Galaxy S25 series, launched in January 2025. Featuring Galaxy AI, the new lineup offers AI-driven features such as improved search, AI-assisted photo editing, and article summarization. It also introduces multimodal AI agents, enabling seamless interpretation of text, speech, images, and videos for an intuitive user experience.
Samsung’s AI innovations extend beyond mobile devices. The company’s vision of making AI an “Everyday, Everywhere” experience includes connected home appliances designed to streamline tasks and improve convenience. “With the Galaxy S25 series and our smart home solutions, we are redefining AI’s role in everyday life, making it more accessible and impactful for Filipinos,” said Jun Guevara, Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Philippines.
Supporting the Galaxy S25’s AI capabilities is the Snapdragon® 8 Elite chipset, delivering enhanced AI processing, graphics rendering, and gaming performance. Customers can now avail of the Galaxy S25 series with up to Php 8,000 in savings when trading in an old device until March 31, 2025.
