FedEx will host a free webinar on August 20, 2025, from 2:00PM to 3:00PM to help Filipino businesses understand the impact of recent U.S. trade policy changes. Titled “Understanding the Latest U.S. Tariff Changes and Their Impact on Shipping,” the session will focus on the removal of the United States’ de minimis exemption.

The exemption previously allowed shipments valued at USD 800 or less to enter the U.S. duty-free, making the process easier for exporters of low-value goods. With the policy change, businesses will need to comply with new tariff requirements, which may affect shipping costs and timelines.

Participants will gain practical tips on staying compliant, managing expenses, and maintaining cross-border operations. The webinar is part of FedEx’s effort to support Filipino SMEs in adapting to global trade shifts. Through expert guidance and access to innovative solutions, FedEx aims to help local entrepreneurs expand internationally while keeping up with evolving regulations.
