Easier Remittance with the CIMB Bank PH App Empowers Overseas Filipinos

Remittance just got a major upgrade, thanks to the CIMB Bank PH app. With over two million overseas Filipinos in 2024, according to Statista, sending money home has become more than just a financial task—it’s a lifeline. CIMB Bank Philippines, recently named the Best Digital Bank by The Asian Banker, is helping overseas Filipinos make that lifeline faster, easier, and more secure.

By enabling direct crediting of remittances to CIMB accounts, the CIMB Bank PH app makes sending money from over 170 countries incredibly convenient. There are no hidden fees from CIMB when using two main options:

  1. Direct bank transfers via partner apps like Revolut, Western Union, WISE, and WorldRemit allow for near-instant remittance to the recipient’s CIMB savings account.
  2. Reference number-based transfers through Ria and Remitly let senders share transaction details with recipients, who then use the CIMB Bank PH app to claim the funds.

The best part? Recipients no longer need to queue at remittance centers. Funds are accessible instantly through the app, making it easy to pay bills, shop via CIMB Pay, or start saving through Own My Goals.

This innovation supports CIMB Bank PH’s ongoing mission of financial inclusion, particularly for the underserved overseas Filipino market. More countries will soon be added to the remittance network, continuing the bank’s promise of helping Filipinos “live their purpose.”
