Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Eden in Rome presents 100 volte Marilyn, its second exhibition in collaboration with Maison Bosi gallery, marking the centenary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth.
On display until August 31, the exhibition flows throughout the hotel’s public spaces, including the lobby, La Libreria, Sala Borghese and the sixth floor.
The exhibition brings together works by Andy Warhol, Maurizio Galimberti, and Mimmo Rotella, exploring how Monroe’s image has been reinterpreted across different artistic movements and media. Highlights will include Warhol’s instantly recognisable silkscreen works, which present Monroe as a repeated and recognisable cultural icon; Rotella’s décollage pieces, which fragment and reconstruct her image through an urban lens; and Galimberti’s Polaroid mosaics, which offer multiple perspectives through photographic composition.
A beacon of Italian elegance, radiant style and soulful warmth, Hotel Eden is a Roman landmark reborn for the modern age. It’s a perfect setting for this exhibition, which reinterprets Hollywood legend to explore how Monroe’s image has evolved into a lasting cultural reference, constantly changing in meaning and form.
Daniele Colombo, hotel manager of Hotel Eden, said, “With the second exhibition in collaboration with Maison Bosi, Hotel Eden continues to strengthen its connection with Rome’s cultural and artistic scene, while paying tribute to Marilyn’s timeless legend. We’re bringing artists, galleries and an international audience together in our incredible city.”
Fabrizio Bosi of Maison Bosi added, “With Hotel Eden, we set out to create a project that goes beyond a simple exhibition, bringing together art, hospitality and collective memory. Marilyn Monroe remains relevant today, not only as an icon but as a symbol that continues to resonate. Presenting works by Andy Warhol, Mimmo Rotella and Maurizio Galimberti brings together three different interpretations of the same subject, showing how her image has evolved over time. In this context, Hotel Eden becomes part of the experience, offering guests a more considered and immersive way to engage with the artworks.”
