CSC Releases 2026 Civil Service Exam Schedule and Requirements

Important dates and requirements for the 2026 Civil Service Exam Schedule

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the full schedule for the 2026 Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Sub-Professional levels.

Applicants can now mark these key dates:

• March 8, 2026 CSE-PPT: Application runs from November 3 to November 28, 2025.
• August 9, 2026 CSE-PPT: Application period is May 14 to June 10, 2026.

Other exams scheduled include:

• January 25, 2026: Career Service Exam for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO).
• June 7, 2026: Fire Officer Exam (FOE) and Penology Officer Exam (POE).

Each announcement will be posted about three weeks before the start of its filing period. These will contain full details on testing centers, qualifications, documentary requirements, exam scope, and result release dates.

The Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) will not be conducted in 2026. This follows the implementation of Republic Act 12001 and an ongoing review by the Department of Finance.

Starting 2026, the first CSE-PPT will always be held on the second Sunday of March, while the second will remain on the second Sunday of August.
