Communities Organized for Resource Allocation (CORA) officially launched the Eco-Ikot Center (EIC) Mobile App last August 29, 2025, at Robinsons Manila. The app advances the group’s mission to drive circular solutions in communities through smarter and more rewarding waste diversion.
The launch was made possible with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Our Sea of East Asia Network (OSEAN), Robinsons Supermarket Corp (RSC), and Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC).
The EIC Mobile App digitizes waste management by enabling users to register, locate Eco-Ikot Centers, track recyclables in real time, and earn points for every item turned over. These points can be redeemed for e-cash, goods, and livelihood products. Users can also monitor their individual and collective impact, reinforcing community-wide climate action.

CORA Founder and Executive Director Antoinette Taus highlighted the importance of technology and community collaboration. She said that small actions, when done collectively, create meaningful change for both people and the planet.
KOICA’s representative CHOI Subin expressed support for the initiative, while Robinsons Manila Sr. Mall Manager Kim Chan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable and responsible communities.
Since its pilot, Eco-Ikot Centers have already diverted over 173 metric tons of recyclables from landfills and oceans. The mobile app builds on this achievement by making the process accessible to households, schools, businesses, and local governments.
The Eco-Ikot Sustainable Cities program, launched in 2023, has trained women leaders in waste management, engaged schools to promote recycling, and partnered with recyclers and businesses to reduce waste. With the new app, CORA expands these efforts by introducing a scalable platform developed with Optimind Solutions.
The Eco-Ikot Center Mobile App is now available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store. CORA invites communities, schools, businesses, and local governments to integrate the app into their sustainability programs to help build waste-free and climate-resilient cities.
