Danao City partners with Converge to build stronger digital infrastructure, expand connectivity, and support its Smart City roadmap.
Converge ICT Solutions Inc., through Converge Global Business, has formalized a partnership with the Local Government Unit of Danao City to strengthen the city’s digital infrastructure and improve public service delivery.
Under the agreement, Danao City will use Converge Dedicated Internet Access as its primary connectivity backbone. The service is expected to support the city’s digital transformation roadmap by providing reliable, high-capacity internet across government departments and key operations.
Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III said the partnership builds on the city’s goal of creating a more connected and empowered Danao.
“Back in 2023, we envisioned and launched our drive to build an empowered and well-connected Danao, investing decisively in digital infrastructure to turn that vision into reality,” Durano said. “Today, we have connected 27 of our 42 barangays with reliable internet access. We are now pushing forward to achieve 100% connectivity within the year.”
The collaboration supports Danao City’s move toward becoming a Smart City by improving communication, data management, and service response across the local government. With stronger enterprise-grade fiber infrastructure, the city aims to create a more efficient and future-ready digital environment for its residents.
