The Philippines welcomes Christmas as early as September, and this year Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista brings the season closer with a fresh duet. On September 1, Christian released a heartfelt remake of Jose Mari Chan’s “Let Love Be the Gift,” this time with social media star Abi Marquez, known to many as the country’s Lumpia Queen.
Arranged by Homer Flores and released with the blessing of Jose Mari Chan and Signature Music Inc., the track blends Christian’s timeless vocals with Abi’s sweet sincerity. Christian, who also produced the project, guided Abi in the recording process, drawing out her natural charm and bright tone.
Abi, who quietly nurtured her love for music long before her viral fame, stepped into the studio with Christian’s support. Together, they turned the classic Christmas song into a duet that celebrates love, family, and the warmth of the season.
“Christmas has always been about love, family, and sharing joy. To sing this song again, this time with Abi, feels like a gift in itself,” Christian shared. Abi added, “I never imagined I’d get to record a song—much less a Christmas song with Christian! It was such a dream come true.”
Fans can also look forward to a music video and more holiday surprises from the duo. “Let Love Be the Gift” is now streaming on all platforms.
