Estudyantipid financial literacy takes center stage in Pasig launch
BPI Foundation is doubling down on youth money skills. The social development arm of BPI launched two fresh Estudyantipid episodes at Rizal High School in Pasig City. Hundreds of junior and senior high school students joined an interactive session on real-world finance. They tried hands-on activities. They asked questions. They watched the premiere.
The new content goes straight to what students face today. One episode breaks down gross profit and net profit with clear examples. The other trains learners to spot scams and fraud. Lessons link classroom concepts to daily decisions. Students learn how cash flow works. They learn when to ask more questions. They learn how to protect their money.
Carmina Marquez, BPI Foundation Executive Director, drove home the goal. Financial education builds confidence and resilience. The foundation wants students to act early and make smart choices. Estudyantipid delivers that learning with stories that make sense.
Educators welcomed the move. Financial literacy is often missing in the curriculum. Through the Knowledge Channel Foundation’s Portable Media Library, schools can access the new Estudyantipid episodes and a wider library of learning content. This helps teachers plug gaps, run focused lessons, and measure progress.
The launch supports FinEd Unboxed, BPI Foundation’s broader effort to bring finance lessons to schools and communities nationwide. Estudyantipid airs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 1:40 PM during the Araling Panlipunan timeslot. It also runs on Kapamilya Online Live every Saturday at 7:40 AM, and on Kapamilya Channel every Sunday at 8:15 AM.
Parents and teachers can guide learners to practice at home. Students can track spending, list wants and needs, and compare prices. They can report suspicious links and seek help fast. These are simple steps that build strong habits.
Estudyantipid financial literacy sits at the center of this push. Students gain practical tools and sharper judgment. Estudyantipid financial literacy adds context to every peso spent. With each episode, Estudyantipid financial literacy turns theory into action.
