Bounty Fresh and Melai Cantiveros Make Baon an All-Day, Everyday Tradition

The “Basta Baon, Bounty Fresh” campaign shows busy Filipino families how convenient and nourishing food choices can fit breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner, and every moment in between.

For Filipinos, baon has always been more than packed food.

It can be a lovingly prepared meal from home, a quick bite for a busy day, or something extra meant to be shared with friends. It brings together practicality, comfort, and the familiar Filipino way of showing care through food.

With its “Basta Baon, Bounty Fresh” campaign, Bounty Fresh is expanding the idea beyond the traditional lunchbox. The brand wants families to see baon as an all-day, everyday option—from breakfast and lunch to merienda, dinner, and those in-between moments when hunger calls.

“Baon has always been part of Filipino life, but today, it goes beyond the traditional packed lunch. Basta Baon, Bounty Fresh wants to show today’s busy Filipino families that delicious and nutritious food can be convenient and accessible throughout the day—for breakfast, lunch, merienda, dinner, or any moment in between,” said Stephanie Balois Guerrero, Vice President and Head of Marketing of Bounty Plus Inc.

Melai makes the “impossible” possible

Returning as the face of the campaign is actress and television host Melai Cantiveros.

Beyond her work in front of the camera, the Prinsesa ng Masa is also a busy mother balancing hosting engagements, shoots, personal appearances, and family life. Despite her demanding schedule, preparing delicious and nourishing meals for her husband and two daughters remains a priority.

In the campaign’s new digital video, Melai finds herself in a hilariously impossible situation: cooking inside a van.

While preparing an entire meal on the road may be unrealistic, the video highlights a relatable truth for many Filipino households—preparing delicious and nutritious baon does not have to feel impossible.

Bounty Fresh offers a range of easy-to-prepare food choices that families can serve during the morning rush, pack for school or work, enjoy as an afternoon snack, or prepare for dinner at home.

“My schedule is talagang over-over busy,” Melai shared. “That’s why I need to stock up on meals that are easy to prepare, fresh and filling, taste delicious, and nakaka-energize the whole day. I’m always looking for food na hindi boring—yung mae-excite yung family ko sa breakfast, lunch, or dinner, whether they enjoy it at home or as a packed meal. Of course, dapat healthy and nutritious din.”

Melai previously appeared in Bounty Fresh’s “Laman ng Isip” video advertisement. Her return brings her signature humor and experience as a working mother to a campaign built around the everyday needs of Filipino families.

Food choices for different baon moments

The “Basta Baon, Bounty Fresh” campaign features several product categories for different meals, cravings, and occasions.

Easy Everyday Faves include marinated chicken tapa and tocino, chicken cut-ups, chicken popcorn, chicken nuggets, pork adobo cuts, ground beef, and other convenient meal options.

Better-For-You Faves include cage-free specialty eggs and No Antibiotics Ever chicken varieties, available in whole portions or cut-ups for everyday family meals.

For meals meant to be shared, Shareable Faves include Bounty Fresh Gourmet Chicken, K-Fried Chikin, Saucy Torikaraage, Pork Sisig, and Beef Samgyeopsal. These options can bring new flavors to packed meals or turn an ordinary gathering around the table into a small family feast.

Together, the selections reinforce the campaign’s central message: there is a Bounty Fresh option for every baon moment.

For Filipinos, food remains one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to show care. Through the campaign, Bounty Fresh makes the comfort of a thoughtfully prepared baon possible throughout the day—not only at lunchtime.
