Bosch and Alibaba Group announced a stronger partnership to drive AI-powered digital innovation and e-commerce growth worldwide. The collaboration focuses on cloud-based operations, AI-driven business models, and international e-commerce expansion.
Dr. Tanja Rückert, Bosch board member and Chief Digital Officer, said the alliance combines Bosch’s expertise in technology with Alibaba’s strength in AI, cloud, and e-commerce. She noted that AI has boosted Bosch’s innovations in mobility, industry, and consumer goods.
Alibaba Group Chairman Joe Tsai said the partnership reflects Alibaba’s commitment to empowering global businesses. He added that Bosch’s strength in automotive solutions and appliances, together with Alibaba’s AI and cloud capabilities, will deliver new value to customers worldwide.
The expanded collaboration covers multiple areas:
- Bosch will migrate more operations to Alibaba Cloud to enhance efficiency.
- Both companies will explore AI-driven solutions in smart cockpit systems, automated driving, and home appliances.
- Bosch will expand its e-commerce presence in Southeast Asia, Spain, and Latin America through Alibaba platforms Lazada, Miravia, and AliExpress.
Bosch first partnered with Alibaba in 2017 through Tmall. Since then, Bosch has grown its digital presence in China with home appliances, power tools, and auto parts. The new deal strengthens that foundation and positions Bosch to reach more global markets with AI-powered solutions.
