Senator Bam Aquino, in partnership with multiple civic groups and volunteers, has mobilized rapid relief efforts by establishing soup kitchens and distributing hot meals across typhoon-hit and flood-affected communities in Luzon.
Working hand in hand with the Kaya Natin Youth chapters in Caloocan, Manila, and Malabon, the Office of Sen. Bam Aquino provided hot meals to residents impacted by Typhoon Crising and the ongoing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). “Maraming salamat po sa ating mga kasama sa Kaya Natin Youth sa para sa kanilang mabilis na pagkilos at maagap na pag-abot ng tulong sa ating mga kababayan na matinding naapektuhan ng habagat,” Aquino stated.
In a parallel effort, Angat Buhay—the non-government organization founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo—also extended support through its Angat Bayanihan Volunteer Network. In Marikina, Angat Buhay, in partnership with Trining’s Kitchen Stories, prepared 3,500 hot meals for evacuees. These were distributed by the City Government of Marikina and Grab Philippines to families in evacuation centers.
The relief work continued in Taytay, Rizal, where Angat Buhay volunteers handed out food packs to Brgy. San Juan residents. In Bulacan, ALERTO (Alliance on Local Emergency Response Team Operations) and U Lead Pilipinas delivered hot meals to 131 families across five evacuation sites.
These coordinated efforts to launch soup kitchens and bring hot food to affected Filipinos showcase the strength of civic action and unity during crises. The ongoing partnership between public figures like Senator Aquino and volunteer-led organizations exemplifies hope and compassion amidst calamity.
