Bad Omens have returned with their latest single, “Specter,” released today via Sumerian Records. The band had teased fans for months with cryptic “goodbye, friend” messaging, and now they deliver a track that pushes their sound into darker, cinematic territory.
“Specter” opens with delicate production before launching into a powerful chorus layered with eerie electronic touches. The single arrives with a cinematic video directed by Noah Sebastian and Nico, featuring actor Ryan Hurst. The visual builds a dark fantasy narrative of loss, betrayal, and the supernatural, extending the intensity of the track.
This marks Bad Omens’ first release since their Gold-certified album The Death of Peace of Mind. The band has accumulated over 2.7 billion streams worldwide, with “Just Pretend” reaching Platinum and topping the Alternative Radio charts. Their continued success includes Gold singles “Like A Villain” and “Death of Peace of Mind.”
Bad Omens also expanded their artistry in 2024 with Concrete Jungle [The OST], an experimental project tied to their acclaimed album. Now with “Specter,” they reaffirm their ability to evolve while keeping their fans invested.
The band is also keeping live momentum strong. Their 2025 festival run includes major stages such as Summerfest, Rock Fest, Welcome to Rockville, and headlining slots at Louder Than Life and Aftershock. With heavy rock on the rise, Bad Omens stand at the forefront of the movement.
Fans can expect more from Bad Omens as they continue to grow both on stage and on the charts.
