Ayala Malls Manila Bay to Open Tennis Homecourt with Austennis

The upcoming regulation-standard court will expand the mall’s community sports network and welcome tennis players of all ages and skill levels.

Ayala Malls Manila Bay is expanding its community sports offerings with Tennis Homecourt, a regulation-standard tennis court developed in partnership with Philippine-based tennis academy Austennis.

Set to open later in 2026, the new facility aims to give more Filipinos a dedicated space where they can learn, play, and connect through tennis.

The project was announced during the Globe Homecourt event at Glorietta, which celebrated the achievements of Filipino tennis player Alex Eala and encouraged more Filipinos to take up the sport.

Creating a space for tennis communities

Tennis Homecourt is designed to accommodate players across different ages and skill levels, from beginners picking up a racket for the first time to more experienced athletes looking for a place to train and compete.

Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land Senior Vice President and Head of Leasing and Hospitality, said the facility is intended to help people build confidence, form new friendships, and develop a lasting appreciation for tennis.

“At Ayala Malls, we’re proud to build spaces where people gather around shared loves—across all rackets, sports, and passions,” she said.

The partnership with Austennis is expected to bring professional tennis expertise to the facility. Specific information about programs, schedules, reservations, and court rates has yet to be announced.

Expanding the Homecourt network

Tennis Homecourt will join three permanent Homecourt facilities at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

These include Table Tennis Homecourt, Taekwondo Homecourt, and a multi-sport Sports Center that accommodates basketball, chess, pickleball, fencing, and other emerging sports.

Launched in 2023, the Homecourt initiative transformed approximately 7,000 square meters of mall space into community-driven sports venues.

The facilities have hosted more than 450 workshops alongside weekend tournaments and mall-led programs. They have also welcomed national and international competitions connected with FIBA, the UAAP, Batang Pinoy, the Philippine National Games, the ASEAN Taekwondo Championships, and the Southeast Asian Fencing Championships.

Bringing sports closer to more Filipinos

The addition of a regulation-standard tennis court reflects the mall’s effort to make sports facilities more accessible within an urban community setting.

Instead of serving only as a place for shopping and dining, Ayala Malls Manila Bay is creating spaces where people can pursue their interests, stay active, develop their skills, and meet others who share the same passion.

For tennis enthusiasts in the south, Tennis Homecourt will provide another place to practice and participate in the sport. For beginners, it can serve as an accessible starting point for discovering the game.

More details about the facility’s opening date, programs, operating hours, and reservation process are expected to be announced closer to its launch.
