Alibaba Cloud has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Serverless Development Platforms, Q2 2025 report. This marks a major recognition of the company’s continued focus on innovation in serverless development.
The report evaluated 11 global vendors based on 21 criteria. Alibaba Cloud scored the highest possible rating in 9 areas, including workload flexibility, initialization and deployment, observability, and AI application development.
The company’s serverless products, Function Compute and Serverless App Engine (SAE), were highlighted for their performance. Function Compute supports scalable, event-driven compute without the need for infrastructure management. SAE provides fast, language-agnostic deployment with Kubernetes-based architecture.
Jiangwei Jiang, Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure Products at Alibaba Cloud, said the recognition reflects their focus on innovation and customer-centric serverless solutions.
